I've mentioned "In the West" in past posts. I had to do a double take just now when looking at SAG award nominees. John Hawkes was nominated for Winter's Bone–for which he's also received a Oscar nomination.

If you're a theatre buff and a long time Austin resident he might look familiar. So, there's a cool actor with an Austin connections.

As a side note, I just spent 5 minutes trying to find a link to "In the West". Nothing. Weird. Heck, it didn't even return my own blog post of last year.
