Microsoft's beginnings by Paul Allen...the other Microsoft guy.

I only know about Paul Allen because my sister Sharon lives in Seattle. Paul owns sports teams and has always been a big philanthropist there.

This excerpt from his book was mostly news to me. I had no real awareness of how Microsoft started. It's well written too. When it ended I was sorry there wasn't more to read.

I assume that Bill Gates would tell a different story. This one subtly skews to Paul. But I suppose that's not surprising. Regardless, if you own a PC, type your docs in Word or use Excel you're a Microsoft customer...or pirate. So here's the scoop on the company's beginnings.
