I hate it when I'm watching a subtle, quiet TV drama and a REALLY LOUD...I MEAN REALLY LOUD commercial comes on.
Well, I'm reading that the CALM (Commercial Advertising Loudness Mitigation) ACT was passed yesterday which might change all that. It's designed to force TV providers to mitigate the extra volume of commercials so you don't get that horrible jolt of extra decibels when the ads come on.
