It's Astronomy time again! Thanks to Caroline for sending this report about the Geminid Meteor Shower and the Total Lunar Eclipse which are coming up. This article tells all.
Here are the highlights:
Meteor Shower
Overnight - LATE Next Monday the 13th into Tuesday early morning the 14th.
"This year,the Moon is one day after first quarter so its light will not intrude in the hours after midnight when the shower is best seen. You could see more that 60 meteors an hour in the early hours of the morning when Gemini is high in the sky!"
Lunar Eclipse
Overnight - Starts on Monday the 20th at 11:30. Totality at 2:17.
