Livestrong Fitness is way cool

.
I have been exploring Livestrong Fitness stuff. The basic membership is free. It has a calorie - and everything else you can think of-counter and a fitness counter. It's really easy to use. And there's an iPhone ap to go with.

But...here's the cool thing. They have a "Create A Loop" page. When you click on the page a map comes up. In my case it was downtown Austin. I think during my registration process they might have asked for my zip code. That must be how they knew what map to display.

Regardless, you get a map which is powered by Google and has all of Google Map's regular features. So, you click twice on where you want your "Loop" to begin. Then just click away as you trace the route of your walk, run or ride. When you're done you get a read out on the side which tells the distance of the loop. How cool is that!

Here's a shot of a loop in my neighborhood. 1.5 miles and I'll burn 150 calories walking it. Not sure I care but I do love information.
