They fly through the air

.
Seemingly with the greatest of ease.

Many years ago my then husband David Gebser and his two wonderful girls Star and Morgan and I packed up the car to spend Christmas with my sister and her family in Atlanta. My 85 year old Aunt Enid had come over from England to spend Christmas as well. Unfortunately on her first night there she fell and broke her hip.

Aunt Enid was pretty much confined to bed. One evening we were watching the English National Ballet perform La Bayadère. At one point the lead male dancer flew ten feet into the air.

"Boy can that guy JUMP," I said.

"No, no, dear. We call that Great Elevation!" said my Aunt in her best upper crust English accent.
Ok I thought, that's some great elevation.

A little while later the principal ballerina made a similar leap. "Wow, great elevation!" I exclaimed.

"Oh no dear," she said, "we only say that about the men."

Regardless-they sure can jump. More here thanks to ChillOutPoint.
