WOW!



My friend Ted sent me this video. It's about a salt mine under Lake Peigneur in Louisiana. On November 20, 1980 an oil derrick which was being used for oil exploration caused a large hole to form on the bottom of the lake which started draining the lake into the mine. The first sign of the impending disaster was the disappearance of the 100+ tall derrick. It just sunk into the 10 [TEN] foot deep lake!

I had never heard of this even though it happened almost 30 years ago so it's not exactly news.
