I know everyone is really excited about the new recycling bins we'll be getting here in Austin this month. How great! Now we can recycle paperboard. And no more separating recyclables either.
I've heard a number of people question whether our recycling really stays out of the landfill. I can only assume that it does. The statistics would also suggest that our paper and bottles are really getting re-made. Cool!
We've been part of Austin's recycling pilot program for ~4 months now. It's pretty cool that now our recycling bin fills up a lot faster than our trash can.
